Question format: What is Solomon?

know about you but I've always struggled with the format bottle of wine. Revise the classic with Solomon.

In Burgundy and Champagne for the Solomon giant bottle that holds the equivalent of 24 bottles of 75 cl or 18 liters. It is called Melchior for Bordeaux wines. Solomon is the name of a king of Israel. Melchior is the name of one of the three Magi.

you know the Clos Salomon? It has nothing to do with the size of the bottle but with the name of the family that operates the plot in Burgundy, the Solomon family! It is present in Givry since the fourteenth century

.The illustrious ancestors as they already provided in wine popes of Avignon.

The enclosed Solomon is an enclosed 7 hectares (Chardonnay and Pinot Black) Premier Cru Givry. The vines are forty years.

For those who want to go farther Givry is mostly a red wine made from Pinot Noir. This is a tannic wine farm structure which softens with age (3-5 years). It offers aromas of violet, strawberry, blackberry, with variations liquorice and spices (clove). The structure is firm. White (Chardonnay), its color is light gold. This is a clear and crisp wine.
